Advancement Operations supports the mission, goals and efforts of University Development, Alumni Affairs, Constituent Relations, Community Affairs and University Communications.
Advancement Operations activities include:
- Administers the Annual Giving Fund and Telefundraising Programs;
- Receipts University (Non-Athletic) gifts;
- Administers the (Non-Athletic) corporate matching gifts program;
- Updates and verifies alumni and donor records;
- Manages the donor prospect tracking system;
- Assists with proposal preparation;
- Conducts donor research.
Advancement Operations is headed by Tammie Boyd, Senior Director of Advancement Operations.
The Advancement Operations Department serves as the main administrative function for the Division of University Advancement including all matters relating to budget, contracts, building operations and personnel.
The UNC Charlotte Annual Giving program provides a strong foundation for private support at our university. The program provides vital operating funds for priority university initiatives, while also generating much-needed assistance to improve and enhance our academic programs and departments. Gifts received through the annual giving program, whether designated or unrestricted, provide the necessary resources for the growing needs of our university. The program runs July 1 through June 30.

The Advancement Operations Technology group, headed by Eddie Fincher, Director of University Advancement Information Technology, maintains responsibility for all Alumni and Donor records as recorded in Banner Advancement.
Advancement Operations has a detailed Data Requests Policy. The standard turn-around time for data requests is ten buisness days. Only formal requests for data utilizing the Data Request Form are accepted.
Banner Advancement Access and Training:
Banner Advancement is the Module for accessing Alumni, Donor and Endowment data. The Technology Group maintains responsibility for granting access and training to Banner Advancement.
