UNC Charlotte is North Carolina’s urban research university, offering 75 bachelor’s, 64 master’s and 24 doctoral programs. Fall 2018 enrollment at the Charlotte region’s largest higher education institution rose to 29,710 students, up 29 percent over the last 10 years.

UNC Charlotte’s growth represents more than 30 percent of the total growth in the UNC system since 2009.

UNC Charlotte has led the way by enrolling over 1,900+ transfer students from community colleges in North Carolina; 1,198 of those students come from community colleges in the Charlotte region.

Of our 140,000 living alumni, more than 75,000 live in the Charlotte region.

An economic impact analysis concluded UNC Charlotte created $2.1 billion in added regional income; equivalent to 31,555 new jobs.
