Student-led initiatives are taking off.

UNC Charlotte students have extraordinarily innovative ideas – a green energy train, recreational prosthetics and NASA launch rocket launch just to name a few. And they’re bringing them to life using the power of community.

Crowdfund UNC Charlotte is an online platform that lets students create their own “mini-campaigns” to fuel innovations, ideas and passions. Students become leaders and organizers, while developing an understanding and appreciation for philanthropy – both personally and for the University.

With six days left to complete funding, most student projects are nearing the finish line. Check out all the good works and creations from these talented UNC Charlotte students and faculty. You can support these entrepreneurial 49ers by choosing the mission that speaks to you and power these ideas forward.

And mark your calendars for this year's #GivingTuesday celebration on Nov. 28, as we once again honor our veterans. This year's projects will help send the "Pride of Niner Nation" Marching Band to Normandy to perform at the 74th Anniversary of D-Day.
