University Communications

About Us

University Communications, as part of University Advancement, builds positive relationships between UNC Charlotte and its constituencies through strategic internal and external communications, and provides leadership for supporting UNC Charlotte’s brand as North Carolina’s urban research university.

Our Communications Strategy Guide provides direction for expanding awareness of the University’s far-reaching research, civic impact, and diversity and inclusion influence. We do this by sharing compelling stories through a variety of channels that underscore life-changing opportunity for deserving students, the depth of faculty talent, comprehensive student experience, and collaborative programs and partnerships that meet the social and economic needs of our region.

Working with communicators from UNC Charlotte’s colleges and divisions, University Communications provides strategic communications planning, which drives the development of projects and campaigns that encompass one or more of the following: media relations, creative services, web communications, news and information, broadcast and digital media, social media, issues management and crisis communications.
